Fella and his three companions stood by the busy road and watched for their owner to come back after them.   He had brought them here and put them out on the side of the road.   On the first day, two of them wandered out into the road and were killed by passing cars.

Fella and Lady, the only two remaining, sat and waited, but their owner never came back.

A kind woman who lived nearby saw Fella and Lady standing guard over the bodies of their friends and called the lighthouse.   She fed the dogs and then caught them and brought them here.

Fella and Lady are friendly and sweet.   They seem to adore children and love to play.

Fella has now been adopted.
